Weekender bag: Closet-to-closet

Design prompt: Streamline travel, no more forgetting items in hotel drawers/closets, cleanliness of drawers, and forget wasting time unpacking at destination and re-pack when departing. Even packing cubes can be confusing, as not all articles of clothing are visible without digging. And also combine a laptop- so user wouldn’t need to juggling 2 separate bags through security. We went for a redesign travel hanging-shelf product from 10 years prior to be a stand alone travel solution for 2-3 day trips, accommodate laptop, and organize personal accessories. It needed a shoulder strap, hand carry option, and ability to fit under most airline seats.

Design Solution: A single zip around with two zipper heads was both familiar and straight forward access, revealing two closet hooks to hang entire unit, and all clothing contents are visible at a glance. Exterior pockets house laptop, cords, and travel documents. Exterior fabric is cationic polyester (partially recycled) with a backside coating for water resistance, and a PVC coated water-proofed base. Neon yellow accents help the bag stand out in a sea of black travel cases.
